The Max malini parlor magic competition
All Souls Church, Bangor, Maine

Professor Miller entered the Malini Competition performing his version of the Hindoo Sand Mystery. This miracle of Jadoo - the street magic of India - has been around for a very long time and is a favorite of the good Professor's.

Professor Miller had not intended to compete in the Malini contest, just to fill out the program. But his performace of this antique miracle in which dry sand is removed from a bowl of water captured the attention of the judges and they awarded him second place.
